Korey Walker, PE- President |
Korey Walker, PE- PresidentMr. Walker received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Brigham Young University. He has over 14 years of experience working with various communities and districts throughout northern and eastern Utah. He has served as Assistant City/District Engineer for Alpine, Pleasant Grove, and Heber Valley Special Service District, and City Engineer for Heber City, Francis, Kamas, and Eagle Mountain. This experience has allowed Mr. Walker to amass a broad knowledge in municipal engineering and has introduced him to various design projects, municipal administration situations, funding opportunities, and residential development patterns. This coupled with his ability to work well with people and understand the big picture allows him to be a great asset to clients. Mr. Walker will be responsible for ensuring the scope and time frame are clearly defined at the project start.

Don Olsen, PE- Vice PresidentMr. Olsen received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Utah State University in 1984. He has over 23 years of experience with secondary water systems, pump stations, delivery systems, and water resource related issues. Mr. Olsen has served for 18 years as District Engineer and City Engineer for entities that have secondary water systems. He has a wealth of experience from the construction, design, and operation of various water systems. Mr. Olsen is responsible for maintaining quality control/assurance for projects. Mr. Olsen’s experience focuses on water and wastewater design with a special emphasis on mechanical, pumping, and electrical design. He has worked on a broad variety of large and small projects including joint ventures with various firms. This has allowed Mr. Olsen to develop a broad understanding of engineering applications, specifications, and design options.

Joseph Santos, PE- AssociateMr. Santos received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Utah Sate University. He has over ten years of experience in the design and management of municipal infrastructure projects. Mr. Santos found that he enjoyed working with municipalities early in his career as an engineering aide for Logan City while attending Utah State University. Throughout his career he has continued working with a number of construction, waste water collection, collector and secondary streets, parks and trail systems, subdivision oversight, master planning, development of comprehensive construction standards, project feasibility, studies rate analyzes, and impact fee justification. This experience coupled with his genuine interest in Spanish Fork that has been cultivated through years of working with the staff providing the citizens dedicated service combines for an undeniable asset as the team leader.

Michael Jensen, PE(pending)- Engineering Division ManagerMr. Jensen received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Utah State University. He has over six years of experience in the design and construction management of municipal infrastructure projects. He has served as Assistant Engineer for Eagle Mountain City and Johnson Water Improvement District. Mr. Jensen has had a myriad of design experiences ranging from pump stations, storage reservoirs, water and storm drain lines, municipal roadways, and park and recreation projects. He has a strong design and construction background to meet varied project needs. He has considerable experience in municipal projects and subdivision plan review, approval, and dealing with developers. With this experience and the ability to view the broad aspects of design projects, Mr. Jensen brings insight, integrity, and depth of practical experience to all phases of the client’s projects.

Mark Baronek, Project Manager & Construction Division ManagerMr. Baronek’s career began in contracting and has grown into an expertise in construction management. He is an experienced construction inspector with multiple certifications in material testing . Mr. Baronek manages the Construction Management Division and is responsible for supervising our two certified Materials Laboratories. Mr. Baronek has Construction Management experience in many different fields, including transportation, public and residential projects. Some of his responsibilities include Quality Control and Assurance programs for Epic Engineering’s construction management division. He is responsible to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies. Return to Top |
Travis Jensen, PLS - Project & Survey Division ManagerMr. Jensen graduated with honors from Salt Lake Community College with an AS in Land Surveying. He has over 12 years of experience working in all aspects of Land Surveying. He has set up several large-scale control networks including an 80 square mile control system. Along with this he has been involved with large and small boundary surveys, ALTA / ACSM surveys, aerial mapping, topographies, subdivisions, and construction projects. He has also been working with several municipalities for the past 8 years, responsible for doing Right-of-Way’s, easements, design mapping, boundaries, and construction projects. He is detail oriented and will ensure the project is completed with accurate data.

Rocky Malin, Design - CADD & Planning Division ManagerMr. Malin graduated from Davis Applied Technical College with a focus in CAD systems design. Mr. Malin and his graphic design team provide creative and professional design solutions for clients and internal graphic service needs. Epic Engineering’s designers and drafters are skilled in all aspects of drafting and utilize the latest available technology, including 3D analysis. Three dimensional modeling provides more detailed views of design layouts, providing non-technical parties the ability to easily visualize the design and alignment of the project. Under Mr. Malin’s direction, our experienced drafters are capable of designing complex, detailed layouts to provide plans and drawings that meet a wide variety of client needs. Return to Top |
