Engineer - EITEntry Level Civil engineering duties surrounding the following; public works, buildings, sub-divisions, drainage, traffic, road, water supply, sewage, and environmental systems. Prepare engineering analysis of projects to include: preliminary design, plan and profile, calculation, economic analysis, life cycle cost and equipment selection. Conduct surveys to gather field data. Prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts and other visual aids. Prepare technical construction specifications. Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies, or details. Review development plans for compliance with adopted engineering standards and good engineering practices. This position reports to Project Managers and Project Coordinators. Travel to other branches of the company as needed. Skills required: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited University, zero to two years of engineering experience. Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local building codes and safety laws. Work requires advanced math skills, special relationship abilities, and the ability to understand problems and have good engineering judgment and communication skills. Working knowledge of CAD tools. Executive/Human Resource AssistantEpic Engineering is looking for a highly motivated individual for an open position as Executive Assistant. Epic is a mid size company with over 60 employees in four different locations. This position provides secretarial and office administrative support requiring the use of discretion and judgment in the performance of duties. Perform various clerical duties, such as telephone response, typing, filing, maintenance of department records and schedules, travel arrangements and appointments. Activities include: Obtain and coordinate support services. Prepare sensitive or complex documents and forms (e.g. proposals, performance appraisals, etc.), and perform full range of office/administrative tasks. Position requires knowledge of policies, procedures and forms. Prepares routine correspondence on own initiative. Ability to prioritize work based on the goals of the business unit. Utilizes Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook & Publisher). High School education or equivalent plus 5-6 years of directly related secretarial experience. Prefer applicants with a two-year degree in Secretarial Science plus 3-4 years of secretarial experience. Preference will be given to applicants with 1 year of related experience in Human Resources, managing employee recruitment, and personnel classification. Experience in mediation of employee relations and complaints between labor and management, as well as with writing policy and procedures. Duties may include but not limited to; assisting and or overseeing the administration of workers compensation, employer handbook, and benefits. Engineering InternApplicants currently working towards their Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering will be given preference. This position will be specifically responsible for report preparation, presentation assembly, data entry. This position reports to senior engineers and Professional Engineers. Some working knowledge and understanding of computer aided design software with AutoCAD, GIS, and water and storm water modeling is preferred. No experience required for this position.
